Dear mission and prayer partners,
Merry Christmas! Feliz Navidad! God has provided for both our family (we helped some family move closer to us and added chickens and some raised bed gardens this year) and the mission work (Ohio, Florida, New York and Peru) with major blessings. Our homeschooled grandsons continue to grow in the knowledge of Christ Jesus, and they are enjoying the early Christmas snow.
Mission Partner Mary Bonelli (below) married Chris Casanova last year and they are living happily ever after through Christ Jesus in sunny Florida.
We also continue the teacher training program online through Kepler Education (Christy Anne and Dr. Bliss wrote the coursework). We expanded course offerings to include a senior thesis course as well as the A.A. degree level Introduction to Christ-centered educational methods.
In April, CCEI helped host a community information gala for Geneva Academy in Bellefontaine, Ohio, featuring speaker Headmaster Steve Schultz from Grace Christian Academy, Long Island. We ordered ball point pens with the schools’ contact information to give out at the event.
The school recently decided to go full-time in the fall of 2023 and has asked David and Christy Anne to work as consultants (including a Headmaster search) for the transition to Geneva Classical Christian Academy, a 5-day a week school.

In October, Christy Anne served at the Gala for Grace Christian Academy on Long Island (Headmaster Steve Schultz) which also celebrated the book Battle for the American Mind by Fox News’ Pete Hegseth and Association of Classical Christian Schools’ President David Goodwin. The book is a call to action for parents and highlights the Christ-centered or Biblical worldview focus of Classical and Christian schools.
In early November, Christy Anne was able to attend the Ministers Conference at Real Life Church Port Saint Lucie https://reallifepsl.com/teaching-archive/. Kurt Owen Ministries is our licensing agency through Ministers of Victory and Real Life Church is our sending church as missionaries sent to preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We endeavor to continue in prayer and Bible study as workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Praise Report:
Board members Joel and Abigail Trouse are expecting their second child this spring. Praise God for His goodness!!
Special Prayer Request:
Grace Christian Academy in NY on Long Island is having an extremely difficult time recruiting qualified Christian teachers in the current government climate. Please pray for hearts and minds to be changed.
Peru Mission Report:
The Yo Soy Jesus school closed a successful year in December 2022. The Yo Soy Jesus church also had a Christmas/Church Anniversary celebration where brothers and sisters in faith gathered, worshipped the Lord together and reached out to others with the Salvation message.
CCEI made a generous donation to help one of the bothers from the church, his name is Gabriel and he is a father of three kids; he also has a kidney failure and is on a waiting list for a kidney donor. Unfortunately, his wife left him with his 5-year-old boy. The Varillas family hosted Gabriel and his son for Christmas and New Year’s dinner and with the contribution from CCEI, Gabriel was able to pay the rent for a month of the room he lives in with his child.
Please keep praying for the work in Peru, for more people to be reached and for wisdom for the coming months.

We also recently sent the Spanish translation of Dr. Perrin’s handbook on classical education to the publisher’s committee for reprinting. This will be useful not only in Peru, but in Dominican Republic, Mexico and other Spanish speaking areas as well. Dr. Perrin contacted us and asked to give our Board Member and translator Abigail Trouse credit for her work. We are excited to see the finished product in print.

Remember it is God’s spirit dwelling in us that does the work (John 14:10). We are all co-laborers with Christ.
